This summer, WDET is asking you to help put the “public” in public media by joining “Detroit Parks Watch.”
It’s easy.  All you have to do is visit a local park, observe what’s happening and report back to WDET by filling out a survey on your smartphone or tablet.
Help the community find out what is going on in the parks in Detroit and your neighborhood. Is the park being maintained? Who’s using the park and what’s happening there? Is it safe?  Join today!

Free night of soccer fun this Saturday!

This year, Detroit City FC (DCFC) has partnered with Flagstar Bank and Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD) to treat residents of Detroit’s neighborhoods to a night out at DCFC games, and they’d like Hubbard Farms to go first!
Join your neighbors, Saturday May 9th for DCFC’s home opener against the Muskegon Risers at Cass Tech High School. Tickets, transportation and t-shirts for kids will be provided. Buses will leave Clark Park at 6:30PM and return immediately following the game.
Please spread the word! Bring your neighbors, families (all ages are welcome), and friends for this great evening outing.
RSVP to Rachel Perschetz at rachel.perschetz@gmail.com as soon as possible, as space is limited.
